Join us for our November concert with Down North!! Down North is a bluegrass band from Brooklyn. Landon Trust (guitar), Sam Chester (banjo) and Tom Gause (fiddle) met at the Monday jam at Mona’s and around the Jalopy Theatre and started playing bars together. They now play more than 90 shows a year, with four standing residencies in Brooklyn plus festivals and ticketed rooms, joined by bass and sometimes mandolin.
The band plays traditional tunes and their own songs and sings in two- and three-part harmonies. They’ve built their sound and following around live performance and having fun onstage. Their first studio project, a debut EP, came out in 2026.
