Monroabilia Auction Continues

It’s been a quiet few months for the HVBA but we’re are preparing for what we hope will be a renewed season of concerts and programs in the coming year!

To get us ready for the time when we can host events again, we have a special Bill Monroe memorabilia (or is that Monroabilia?) fundraiser! Neal Loevinger, an HVBA member, has generously donated TWO rare Bill Monroe collectibles which we’re going to auction off with all proceeds to the HVBA.

First, we have an AUTOGRAPHED, framed poster of Bill Monroe and his famous Gibson F-5 mandolin. This poster was purchased by our donor at the famous Bean Blossom festival in the late 1980’s at Bill Monroe’s very own merch table, and signed by the master himself. It’s been framed and kept in a box for quite a few years now and it’s time to go on a true fan’s wall.

Along with the poster we have an ORIGINAL Bill Monroe Columbia Records 78 rpm single with “Rocky Road Blues” on one side and “Kentucky Waltz” on the other. This is also suitable for framing- there’s a chip out of the edge but it’s an original disc from 1946.

We haven’t received any bids, so far. Neal is allowing us to eliminate the opening bid. Nice!!! What is this Monroe autographed photo and record worth to you? Name your bid!

How will this work?

Send your bid directly to us At the end of every day, we will post the highest up-to-date bid on our website. We will NOT publish your name.  The winner’s name will be revealed only with permission.
