Mile Twelve is a modern string band from Boston, Massachusetts. Winners of the 2020 IBMA New Artist of the Year award, they have been making waves in the acoustic music world with their seamless blend of expertly-crafted songs, creative arrangements, and virtuosic execution. The band takes their name from the mile marker that sits at Boston’s southern border, a road sign they’ve passed countless times while heading out on tour. They’ve found receptive audiences across the globe, touring throughout North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

After a busy year of touring including stops at Savannah Music Festival, Pickin’ in the Pines and the IBMA Bluegrass Ramble, the band is gearing up to release its next full-length project in early 2023—but before they do, catch them in Poughkeepsie for a night of unforgettable music!

This will mark the 4th time that Mile Twelve plays for the Hudson Valley Bluegrass Association, but this time the band includes one of our own. Korey Brodsky is the mandolin player and many of you will remember him when he was about 13 years old and played at one of our Marist educational classes (about 30 minutes in) along with Bill Keith. You can view the entire series here. Korey is all “growed-up” now and has joined this excellent band….Mile Twelve.

Join us on Saturday, December 3rd for a special evening of music with Mile Twelve!
