Ali Krayer has been playing music most of her life. Formerly a professional drummer, she has performed in dive bars, the Kennedy Center and everything in between. Back in college she played percussion for a mandolin player and fell in love with the instrument. She began seriously pursuing the mandolin and bluegrass music a few years ago and joined HVBA as soon as she arrived in NY. She is devoted to learning, sharing, and growing in the bluegrass community and tries very hard to never miss a jam or opportunity to play with new people. When not playing mandolin and also while playing mandolin she can be found hanging with her dog Scout.
Fulfilling the HVBA mission cannot succeed without the dedication and work of our Board Members and Officers. Ali has taken on managing our Instagram account and so much more. We are delighted to have her as an addition to the team!!
