HVBA Brings Bluegrass To The Community

A huge thank you goes out to Andy Bing and the members of the Blue Mask Boys (David Chernack, August Eriksmoen, Eric Marshall, Brandon Whightsel, and Joan Harrison for introducing bluegrass music as an American Music Genre in the first of 6 classes given at Locust Grove last week. The program is part of Marist College’s Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) and Andy began with a short explanation of the roots of bluegrass. The highlight of the class was definitely the extraordinary performance by the BMB to about 130 happy “students.”
