Have about one hour to sit down and learn more about the history of the banjo? Dick Bowden has alerted us to this wonderful documentary. He writes: “A great 52 minute British documentary on the history of the banjo in America! … This appears to be perhaps 30 years old, but completely relevant.”
Another post on the internet reads: “I watch it from time to time, it sure is a goldmine of banjo playing and, a great history lesson.”

Such a great programme. I have played the Banjo almost my entire life. It was my destiny, very moving and almost spiritual. One man who I must mention, the late great Ralph Stanley. He was, and will always be, the one. Thankyou Ralph.
