David Chernack’s Playlist – This is: Sam Bush

Sam Bush is one of the most storied names in bluegrass music. As a foundational musician of the 1980s and 1990s, there arguably is no more influential mandolinist working today. He featured prominently in genre-bending acts like New Grass Revival and Strength in Numbers, and continues to sit comfortably on bluegrass’s leading edge. With modern collaborators such as Frank Solivan, Dolly Parton, and Michael Cleveland, Sam Bush continues to define bluegrass with his definitive voice, mandolin playing, and songwriting chops.
