Here are 28 cuts on a double CD set of which I have the following comment–SUPERB! Absolutely a fantastic collection of 28 cuts here, a few I heard before, and some I admit I had not heard before now. I am very happy to hear all of this today! I admit it has been some years since I have been the one to rush out and get the newest and latest CD that comes out, primarily because It is seldom that I am impressed with the newest or latest recordings that are released.
“Goodbye Old Pal”
“Lonesome Midnight Waltz”
This album is extremely pleasing to me as it is fresh, but still has all the core elements of traditional bluegrass. This album exemplifies my pride and love for bluegrass music. All cuts are excellent but I gave 15 (out of 28) extremely high marks. That is unheard of for me folks after hearing tens of thousands of recordings and thousands of albums. I just cannot say enough good about this collection or give it any higher marks than I do here. This I believe might be the best of the best of the best as far as I am concerned. I hate to single out any particular cuts, but I dare to say I especially liked “Will You Be Lovin’ Another Man” by The Grascals, “Close By” by Dailey and Vincent, “I Hear A Sweet Voice Calling,” “A Voice From On High” and “Goodbye Old Pal” by Joe Val, “My Florida Sunshine” by Claire Lynch, “I’m Blue I’m Lonesome,” “Doghouse Blues,”and “You’re Drifting Away” by Nashville Bluegrass Band, “Walls Of Time” by The Johnson Mountain Boys, “Old Brown County Barn” by Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper, and “Come Back To Me In My Dreams” by Al Jones.
