Beer Caps and Quarters, hatched from the rubble left mouldering of a long-drenched wild fire, these scoundrels dusted off their ragged shadows and carried on.
The sounds emanating from these boys are reminiscent of a time long gone. Country soul, low down blues, Folky Folk, American Music. Song writing singers & happy pickers. Bluegrass with a twist of lime!!!
Dyer Switch Band plays hard-driving traditional, original and unique bluegrass, and acoustic music, and more. This band brings together hard-driving renditions of traditional tunes from first-gen bluegrass giants, their own powerful originals and fresh and innovative versions of songs from other genres.
Long Steel Rail cultivates and extends the traditions of American Acoustic Roots music. Playing an eclectic mix of traditional and not-so-traditional stringband music, LSR sits at the confluence of many different streams of musical sensibility. They deliver a distinctive and infectious blend of Bluegrass, Folk, Classic Country and String Band music, tinged with Swing, Irish, Blues, Rockabilly and other ingredients that spice up the rich gumbo of American music. Traditional instrumentation is combined with a contemporary sensibility and material is drawn from the whole gamut in between.
Featuring Eric Marshall on vocals and guitar, and a variety of Hudson Valley musical stalwarts.
HVBA Jam Band: A group of overly talented (is that really a thing?) local musicians who regularly meet to share and enjoy their love and enthusiasm of bluegrass music. This band represents some of the finest talent in our region and are a definite crowd-pleaser!
