Gibson Brothers Notes from 2010:
9/10 · "Ring the Bell" (written by Chet O'Keefe) has won Song of the Year and Gospel Recorded Performance of the Year at the 2010 IBMA Awards.
9/10 · "Farm of Yesterday" is the #1 song on Bluegrass Unlimited's National Bluegrass Survey in the magazine's September issue, joining "Ring the Bell" as the second song from the Gibsons' latest album to claim the top spot. The album, which reached #1 on BU's Top 15 Albums Chart in January -- the fifth consecutive Gibson Brothers recording to do so -- re-enters the Top 15 this month, Ring the Bell's 13th month on the chart!
8/10 · The Gibson Brothers have been honored by the International Bluegrass Music Association with final nominations in four categories: Album of the Year (Ring the Bell), Song of the Year ("Ring the Bell"), Vocal Group of the Year, and Gospel Recorded Performance of the Year. Winners will be announced at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on September 30th. For a complete list of nominees, visit www.ibma.org.
4/10 · Eric and Leigh are on the cover of the April Bluegrass Unlimited.
1/10 · The Gibson Brothers have three songs on the January 2010 Bluegrass Unlimited Top 30 Countdown. "Farm of Yesterday" debuts at #30; "Jericho" is up to #21 and "Ring the Bell" is the #1 song and the #1 Album of the month. The deejays have been so good to us and have honored us with this recognition. Thank you! What a great way to start the New Year!
