Marist College - The Best of Times
With apologies to Charles Dickens: It was the best of times, it was the best of times. Our "Evolution of Bluegrass" six week course has ended, but we are still floating from the very positive responses we have received and from the fact that so many of the students attended the Audie Blaylock & Redline Concert. Please take the time to read about the entire experience and then hop on over to the HVBA YouTube Channel to see five of the six videos filmed by Fred Robbins. The sixth one is currently being edited and will be on line shortly. That last video features Andy Bing introducing the dobro and is followed by a full band concert. You won't want to miss it!

Welcome New Member & Thanks to Mama Tried
Lynda Garafalo of Stuyvesant Falls has just joined with all of us to become our newest HVBA member. I love this section. I love welcoming new members!
Mama Tried, one of our Member Bands, in recognition of the good work that HVBA does, has just given a very generous donation to the HVBA to be used towards any project. This is an unexpected gift and one that is deeply appreciated. We expect that it will be put towards future educational projects similar to the Marist College Center for Lifetime Studies, a Primer in Bluegrass Music that was hugely popular last month and that we expect to duplicate in the future. Thank you, Mama Tried!!! |

Audie Blaylock & Redline Concert
The concert is sadly over, but it was a wonderful concert for all who were there. Jerry Oland has written his review of last Saturday's concert. Be sure to take a look.
